This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Product Marketing team here at Mimecast. We are looking for an exceptional person to help support the achievement of the team and wide strategic business goals. The role reports into the Senior Director, Demand Generation with a dotted line into Global Product Marketing with emphasis on the U.S. market as a product generalist. The Product Marketing team builds the compelling value proposition around Mimecast's class-leading cloud services and supports the enablement of both internal and channel teams to skillfully articulate this value to customers and prospects. Working closely with product, sales enablement, marketing and others, as Senior Product Marketing Manager you will own product messaging and proposition development throughout the product lifecycle in context with a deep understanding of the US market.
Key
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager you will be responsible for and measured on:
Marketing propositions and product messaging for the US Market. Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products within the market.
Know your buyers by being the expert on how they buy and their buying criteria.
Develop and drive programs to frame and track competitive landscape, understand target markets and identify market insights to inform product strategies and go-to-market activities.
Support the sales enablement of internal clients and channel teams. Articulating the value proposition and development of sales tools that support the sales process.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including public relations, design and product stakeholders) to deliver world class product marketing communications.
Focus on supporting demand generation efforts working with channel materials, tools for the Lead Generation team, case studies, customer testimonials, develops whitepapers, videos, e-books etc. to be used in U.S. lead generation programs.
Essential Skills and
Experience:
5
years of technology product marketing experience.
BA or BS degree preferred in a technical, business or related field.
Baseline knowledge of all products with the ability to represent them.
Product expert attending events and partner events.
Extensive knowledge and experience of working with SAAS offered through a channel product.
Experience of marketing technology products, ideally in both B2C and B2B environments.
Ability to work within a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
Outstanding communication with a keen ability to translate complex technical capabilities into creative, intuitive content and programs.
Experience as a confident U.S. product head who speaks to the press along with forming good media and analyst relations.
Interface at all levels within a business, maintaining strong working relationships across cross-functional teams.
Effective verbal, written communication skills that consist of writing highly effective and engaging content.
Extremely strong organizational and time management skills.
Desirable Skills:
Product marketing experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products
Good understanding of email network infrastructure and related information management services.
Experience building sales tools to drive competitive wins.
