The Senior Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing strategies and plans to drive paid individual and small group subscriptions and grow the member network of free users. The Marketing Manager works with colleagues in the Epocrates Marketing team to design and operationalize acquisition, renewal, and expansion campaigns using email, on device marketing messages, customer service, PPC, OLA, and other more traditional channels to reach caregivers and convince them that paying for Epocrates premium services improves their ability to make decisions in the moments of care. The Manager should be a detail-oriented and creative marketer, who wants to help inspire innovative marketing ideas to build the Epocrates and athenahealth brand while drive more effectiveness and efficiency into subscription campaigns.

Responsibilities:
Develop campaign strategies and plans tied to key subscription goals
Identify areas for optimization and increased conversion
Test, test and test again
Define audience segmentation recommendations
Develop marketing briefs to drive creative development
Coordinate with analytics, creative services and Product Management
Develop packaging and merchandising recommendations and positioning
Report on program results and progress against goals and targets
Plan and execute in-market campaigns
Oversee Marketing Communications to sales team, including weekly updates, regular meeting attendance, and inventory monitoring
Define and manage annual budgets
Identify and manage program/operational risks
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience and skills in the following areas:
B2C & B2B Lead generation and marketing
Subscription marketing
Strong understanding of Direct Marketing metrics and the associated processes involved with monitoring and managing program effectiveness, including experience launching test programs and leveraging information to enhance strategic or tactical approaches
Email and digital marketing
Experience with developing highly functional teams that consistently overcome obstacles and achieve goals
Deep collaboration skills, particularly with colleagues from other internal departments that need to contribute to program development, and/or execution
Negotiating and managing external vendors
Ability to communicate ideas and strategies at a high level for cross-team buy-in
Good sense of end-user experience; keeps the customer perspective top of mind

Position Requirements:
Bachelor degree required
7
years marketing/advertising work experience, health care industry experience a plus
In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including sales process optimization, customer segmentation, targeting, and direct marketing)
