Jr. Network Engineer

Elevate Technology Solutions is currently accepting applications for a Jr. Network Engineer, to support our operations in Watertown, Ma. This excellent opportunity requires that the ideal candidate to be customer focused, and willing to join a winning team.
The Jr. Network Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Plan and oversee infrastructure projects; assessing facilities, working and managing vendors.
Plan, design, and implement all cabling infrastructure related matters for LAN and WAN installations.
Install, configure, and support networking and security equipment from a wide range of vendors.
Monitor overall network service performance and take action to correct deficiencies in monitoring and controlling the quality of individual network services.
Provide in-depth problem analysis and resolution. Provide on-call support in rotation with all other Ops personnel. Support includes all levels of application, server, and network troubleshooting and manage trouble failure tickets.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including operational procedures, reference materials, research papers, disaster recovery plans and training documentation.
Participate in an on-call rotation support system.
The Jr. Network Engineer must have the following skills:
Experience with routing/switching and firewall technology from the following vendors: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, HP, etc.
Network troubleshooting skills including troubleshooting routing issues.
The Jr. Network Engineer must meet the following
Qualifications:
BA or BS in EE/CS or equivalent.

years of experience on a service provider or enterprise-level network in engineering or design roles.
Experience with enterprise/carrier-class routers, switches, firewalls, wireless and voice systems.
Working knowledge of infrastructure cabling systems and ability to manage cabling vendors.
Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, GRE, IPSec, VoIP, Wireless, VRRP, HSRP, GLBP, SNMP, QoS, 802.1x, Radius, DNS and DHCP protocols and services
Strong English-language written and oral communications skills with the ability to influence others with your stellar network engineering solutions
