Role OverviewOur Watertown site (located at 1 Mount Auburn Street Watertown, MA) is a focused practice, providing Internal Medicine and Behavioral Health services to adult patients.
We are seeking a full-time, 40 hour Medical Assistant to support the practice Monday through Friday.
As a hybrid opportunity, the position entails onsite coverage 4 days per week and remote coverage 1 day per week.
While onsite, the employee will be supporting two part-time Internal Medicine providers in a traditional Medical Assistant capacity:
Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed) Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.
) Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
On the remote day, the Medical Assistant will virtually support back office clinical support operations for multiple iCare sites including but not limited to Watertown, Burlington, and Salem, NH.
About You Completion of a formal program in Medical Assisting is required BLS certification required within first 6 months of employment At least two years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred Primary care experience preferred Proficiency with an EHR, Epic experience preferred Current certification with one of the following organizations preferred:
