The Role:
We are seeking a talented individual to support the executive leadership team and lead the office management responsibilities for Abata Therapeutics.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of a passionate team and to contribute to the growth and culture building of an early-stage biotech company.
The successful candidate is attracted to working in a fast-paced start-up environment with demonstrated exceptional multi-tasking and communication skills.
In this critical role, you will serve as the primary day-to-day interface between the company and external thought leaders and executives with a high degree of professionalism and care, including Abata's Board of Directors, Scientific Advisory Board and Founders.
This position requires stellar attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and professionalism, and is best suited for a self-starter who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of patients.
The company is currently located in Watertown, MA.
Given the highly visible nature of the role, the ability to work the majority of time onsite is essential.
Major
Responsibilities:
The Executive Assistant is a critical member of the team.
The key function of the role is providing dedicated administrative support to the CEO, COO, CSO and CMO.
This support includes:
Proactive calendar & travel management, both for internal schedules as well as the schedules for the Board of Directors and various Board sub-committee meetings.
Serve as a trusted representative of the executives in communications with both internal and external partners, protecting their time, and ensuring prioritization of key business objectives and activities Additionally, this individual will also:
Partner with our PR firm to align on social media and external communications strategy and execution Mentor and directly manage an Administrative Assistant Work with administrative and operations colleagues to support day-to-day office operations, facility projects, and resolution of any facility issues Lead the planning, coordination and execution of company events, including the design and procurement of fun company swag Partner with HR Generalist on culture initiatives to continue to support Abata's great culture Serve as primary contact for general website inquiries and ensure appropriate follow up with parties Requirements and
Qualifications:
At least 7-10 years of experience supporting senior level executives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated flexibility and professional maturity to readily understand priorities, handle sensitive/confidential information and anticipate needs.
Experience in start-up environment strongly preferred; biotech/ pharma experience will be favorably considered.
Must have a positive can do attitude, be a consummate team player, show excellent judgment as well as work well independently.
Experience working as part of an administrative team and managing and/or mentoring administrative colleagues.
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills including attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task with a willingness to perform a wide range of tasks including working with confidential information.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
